2014 OK Dinghy National & Interdominion Championships

It is with great pleasure that I congratulate Greg Wilcox from New Zealand on being the 2014 Interdominion Champion, and Mark Jackson from Black Rock Yacht Club winning the 2014 Australian Championships. These two sailors finished on equal points after nine race, with the tenth being blown out due to strong winds, Greg ended up winning on a count back, with 2 firsts. Third place in the regatta went to Luke O’Connell from New Zealand, who sailed well as one of the younger sailors. The Teams trophy was won by Australia on 71 points and New Zealand on 73.

Presentation was held on the Saturday night with over 120 sailors and guests. Richard Furneaux the Victorian Ok President, with the assistance of Gary Lokum, had us entertained with prize giving where all competitors received a prize, thanks to our great sponsors. Festivities went long into the night with many sore heads seen on the next day. Mark Taylor the PRO thanked the 35 plus volunteers that helped out during the week, without them these events would not happen.
